1. Purpose: The object of this organization shall be to promote the sport of bass fishing in a safe and enjoyable manner through examples of safety practices, catch and release, conservation, and friendly competition. 2. Safety: 1) The Limestone Bassmasters stress the use of every safety precaution at all times. 2) The use of life vests while under power of the engine is mandatory except when loading on the trailer. Anyone caught operating under power with out a life vest will be disqualified. The use of a kill switch is encouraged. 3) The Limestone Bassmasters and its officers will not be responsible for any injury or damages, which might occur with any and all events, past and present. 4) All boats must be titled and registered in compliance with all laws from the state in which they are from. Boats that do not comply cannot be used. NO EXCEPTIONS. 5) Any person caught operating a boat in an unsafe manner will be asked to leave the club. 6) All boat owners or operators are responsible for all safety equipment and partners of their boats. 3.Membership: 1)Annual membership dues are $35.00 per year per person. Dues will be divided as follows: $20.00 BASS. $10.00 to the state federation $5.00 to the Club. 2) Each member must be a member of B.A.S.S. (Bass Anglers Sportsman’s Society) Each member must keep His or hers dues paid though out the entire season in Order to be qualified to fish. 3) Each member will receive Bass Times magazine and a $9000.00 accidental death and dismemberment policy. 4)The club will receive a 1 million dollar liability policy. 5) A complete roster of membership will be sent to BASS once a year. 6) The club will belong to and support the state Federation nation. 7) A person must be 16 years of age to be eligible to fish Limestone Bassmaster or Federation National Events. 8) All members shall have an eligible fishing license for the state in which a tournament is held. 9) No member though act or action shall endanger the future of the Limestone Bassmaster or the members their of. 3. TOURNAMENTS: 1) A member must fish 6 club tournaments during the Regular season to be eligable to fish the championship. 2) Prior to start: No fishing tournament waters 12 hours prior to the start of a tournament Vice-President will check livewells prior to start of tournament. 3) All members will receive a numbered weigh in chip before the start of each tournament. This chip must be turned into the vice president before the ending time of the tournament to be eligible to weigh fish. A person fishing alone can call out to the vice president that they are in because they don’t have a partner to remain with the boat. 4) Blast off will be by order of the numbers on the weigh-in chip. The winner from the previous tournament will call out the numbers for take off. 5)Entry fees: Entry fees for each tournament will be $35.00 per person, $5.00 of which will go to the big Bass pot. The $5.00 big bass pot is optional. Both Partners must be in the big bass pot to be eligible. 6) Anyone showing up after the start of the tournament , must go immediately to the first member they can find... paying their entry fee and getting their live well "CHECKED " ! NO FISHING PRIOR TO THIS. Anyone Showing up 30 minutes late will not be eligible to fish. 4. Competition: 1) No use of alcoholic beverages or drugs will be Permitted during tournament fishing hours. 2) Members must maintain 50 yards distance from other Fisherman at all times. 3) 12” or lake size limit for bass will qualify. (largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass.) 4)Only artificial lures may be used, with the exception of pork trailers. (NO LIVE BAIT) 5) No trolling is allowed. 6) No contestant shall leave their boat during tournament fishing hours unless in case of an emergency or to use the rest room. 7) There will be a 6 fish limit per boat. No more than six fish can be in a livewell at anyone time... Culling of smaller fish is immediate. 8) No culling dead fish for live fish. 9) There will be no loading fish in a spot by any member ff the club. No member will have a non member load a spot for him or her. 10) No member shall alter or injure a fish to make the fish measure or weigh more. 11)The president or vice president will be the official timekeeper for each tournament. It is your responsibility to set your watch. 6) End of tournament / weigh in: 1) Late contestants will be penalized one(1) pound per Minute up to five(5) minutes with six(6) minutes resulting in a disqualification. 2) Catch and release of fish will be mandatory, Except for trophy fish kept for mounting. 3) All fish will be measured on the golden rule with the mouth closed and the privilege of a tail pinch. 4) Penalties: .25 of a pound per dead fish and one(1) pound per short fish including the total loss of the short fish. 5) All fish MUST be brought to the scales in water, (tournament bag) No fish will be weighed if presented at scales not in water. 7. Prizes: 1) Cash prizes will be 90% payback 10% retained by the Club for club expenses with remainder added to the Championship pot. 8. Disqualifications/ protests: 1) Any member caught combining weight with another member will be dismissed from the club along with all parties involved. Criminal charges will be sought in court. 2) If anyone has a protest or has witnessed another member breaking club rules it MUST be brought to the president’s attention before weigh-in. ALL RULINGS ARE FINAL. 9. Season ending: 1) Championship: The championship will be a two day Tournament both days being held on the Ohio river. 2) Trophies: Angler’s of the year, Club champion’s, big bass of the year. Each team member receives a trophy. |
